Coogee Wine Room is built for the kind of function that forgets it’s a function.

Birthdays, cocktail parties, corporate nights, small-group weddings, milestone lunches, hens dos, school-parent catch-ups and family dinners that somehow drift past 10pm—we've hosted the lot.

Two private rooms upstairs: take one, or take the whole floor. Sit-down or stand-up, set menu or share-style—our upper level bends to suit the night you've got in mind.

From canapés and long lunches to proper evening events, our team helps you shape it from the first email to the last pour.

Lounge Area

Our informal lounge area is able to be configured as:

- A lounge for up to 18 guests, ideally suited to intimate dinners
- A stand-up cocktail party for up to 25 guests

This space is equipped with AV equipment (projector, screen and microphone) for complimentary use. 

Private Dining Room for functions & Events, Coggee

Private Dining Room

Our Dining Room is the perfect space to host your next event. We are able to accommodate:

- A sit-down lunch or dinner for up to 30 guests
- A stand-up cocktail party for up to 40 guests
- A boardroom meeting space for up to 20 guests

The Dining Room is equipped with a projector for the display of presentations and/or video and complimentary AV use.

Entire Upper Level

For larger private functions and events, you may hire the entire top floor of our venue for exclusive use. We are able to configure the space to suit:

- A sit-down event for up to 48 guests
- A stand-up cocktail party for up to 65 guests

This space is equipped with AV equipment (projector, screen and microphone) for complimentary use.

Tell us what the night looks like and we'll build the food and drink around it. Here's the starting line-up—mix, match, or hand it to us and we'll sort the lot.

The Menus

Set Menu A — $75pp Four courses, share-style, one plate between two. Mediterranean-leaning, seasonal, built around what Chef Ken does best.

Set Menu B — $88pp Same generous share-style format, stepped up. Think Patagonian prawns, lamb backstrap, apple tarte tatin.

Premium Menu — $110pp Individual courses, no sharing, full choice on the day. For when everyone wants their own plate and the good cutlery.

Canapé Package — $60pp Stand-up, cocktail style. Three snacks, a substantial and a dessert per guest—roaming, easy, made for a room that's mingling.

Worth adding to the table Mayura Station Wagyu Tomahawk (9+ MBS)—a proper centrepiece, from $150pp or as an add-on, by request with 7 days' notice. Plus oysters, cheese and charcuterie boards on tap.

The Drinks

Yes, the wine list is long. Yes, you can play favourites. The simplest way to run the night is wines on consumption. That is: you pay for what gets poured. Larger group? We'll help you pre-select a few bubbles, whites and reds so we never run dry. Prefer a fixed-price package, or separate bar tabs for a school or club night? Just ask.

Dietaries always catered for—5 days' notice does it.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Up to 48 seated or 65 standing if you take the entire upper level. The Upper Dining Room handles 30 seated / 40 standing, and the Upper Lounge 18 seated / 25 standing.

  • Yes, and it depends on the room, day and session—starting from $1,200 for the Upper Lounge. Menus start at $75pp. Tell us your date and headcount and we'll send the exact figure.

  • Absolutely. Book one private room or take the whole upper floor for exclusive use.

  • Share-style set menus ($75 or $88pp), a premium individual-choice menu ($110pp), or roaming canapés for stand-up events ($60pp). All Mediterranean-inspired, all by Head Chef Ken Yong.

  • Always. Send us the details 5 days ahead and we'll look after everyone.

  • Of course—$3pp cakeage and we'll handle the plating.

  • Both private rooms have a complimentary projector and screen; the Upper Dining Room also has a PA and microphone.

  • All of the above—and the family gatherings that quietly run past 10pm. If it's worth celebrating, we've probably hosted it.

  • A $30pp pre-authorisation secures your booking. Changes are no drama up to 72 hours before. Send an enquiry or call the team and we'll take it from there.
